What You'll Do

The role of Leader, Strategy and Planning will be an integral member of the Cisco APJC Strategy, Planning & Operations organization, which supports the APJC Sales Leaders. The role will play a critical role in shaping and driving the long-term growth and transformation of Cisco Greater China business. This role will work closely with the Greater China Sales Leaders to define market opportunities, develop near and long-term business strategies, identify, evaluate, and recommend potential inorganic and organic growth opportunities, as well as lead and drive the execution of our overall strategic initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include:

-Long Range Strategy Development: develop 3-5 years strategy for Cisco Greater China including China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan business with regard to the broad market opportunities presented

-Go-to-Market Planning: drive annual business planning with Go-to-Market model transformation including but not limited to customer segmentation, coverage model design and optimization, sales resource evaluation and deployment, and lead change management for transformation projects derived from planning phase

-Business Analysis & Market Research: liaise with local and/or central teams to collate and analyze data for different business projects; develop robust and complex analyses to drive strategic insights with scenario-driven models, competitor analysis; use creativity to consider analytical problems from a range of angles; Conduct independent research for relevant market insights for sales leaders and functional teams

-Business Review Cadence: support GC sales leaders manage business review cadence, and prepare review materials for theater, regional and global level, create top notch presentations and/or memos that deliver strategic insights, analyses and recommendations for different business review and projects for Executives/C-level audience

-Strategic Initiatives Design & Execution: support in framing and structuring new strategic projects, being able to help the sales team articulate the right questions and challenges, and own and lead projects from conception through to completion

Who You'll Work With

As the Leader of Strategy and Planning for Cisco Greater China business, the successful candidate will work closely with Cisco APJC cross-regional Strategy, Planning & Operations team, Greater China Sales Leadership Team, Cisco Corporate, Services, Partner Sales, other Architecture Sales teams, Marketing, Cisco Capital, Finance and other Cisco's Senior Leadership Team. This opportunity also requires leadership across a highly matrixed organization and will involve influencing effective and efficient decision-making.

Who You Are:

The role requires strong strategic thinking, market insights, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills. The majority of projects focus on highly complex, ambiguous topics that need design across a large number of different functions.

Basic Qualifications

- 8+ years experience in corporate/business strategy, strategic planning, or operational roles

- 3-5 years experience at a top tier consulting firm in client facing roles with a proven track record in developing strategy

- Previous IT/HighTech experience highly valuable, deep understanding of IT hardware/software/services markets, trends, and dynamics across China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan

- Demonstrated project management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills

- Is holistic in approach - using deep understanding of the different markets, the customer, business model and long-term technological and competitive change

- Strongly quantitative, highly analytical, a great modeler and top notch presentations

- Independent thinker; Is an influential player internally: is respected and whose opinion is sought
