Responsibilities:
? Responsible for exterior lighting component/subsystem/system (including headlamp, lit badges, fog lamp, lit grille, tail lamp, etc.) Design and Release for various vehicle programs;
? Lead implementation of FORD product development process / quality operating system and ensure the milestone deliverables to be completed on time with quality; Resolve issues and manage engineering changes during commodity launch;
? Develop and manage ESOW to ensure all FORD design, quality, engineering support requirements cascaded to supplier correctly;
? Lead suppliers to design and develop components and/or subsystem to meet all requirements including engineering/cost/quality/timing requirements; Responsible for robust design verification, engineering sign-off and production validations;
? Oversee prototype build to support prototype vehicle build timing with quality;
? Resolve issues and manage engineering changes during commodity launch;
? Support all APQP activities including PPAP sign-off;
? Provide assembly plant support during prototype/launch phases or as required.
? Deliver quality methodologies and reliability processes for long term and lasting quality;
? Identify and select suppliers to meet Ford cost, quality, volume and timing requirements with cross-functional team;
? Liaise with core engineering, design activities, program teams and manufacturing plants in receiving counties;
? Bachelor Degree or above in Automobile/Mechanical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering required;
? Minimum of 3 years design experience in auto components, Exterior Lighting experience preferred;
? Knowledge in auto component/subsystem design/manufacturing/assembly, and vehicle assembling and launch process;
? In-depth knowledge in drawing, GD&T and CAD systems;
? Experience in component /subsystem design verification process and test planning/execution;
? Experience in Quality/Reliability process including Design FMEA, Design Verification Planning/Reports and Global 8D;
? Knowledge in PFMEA and control plans;
? Good engineering/communication skills.
